Staying at The Rowan Centre

The Rowan Centre is a large 400 year old Suffolk farmhouse located on the east coast of Suffolk in a beautiful area known as the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

 

We have an acre of land including a small wooded area, lawn and a walled kitchen garden.
The house is surrounded by fields and woodland yet only two minutes from the A12. There are beautiful local walks and the beach is ten minutes drive away. We are 15 minutes from the historic market towns of Beccles and Southwold

Training room/lounge

Participants staying nearby or living locally are also welcome to make full use of the Centre and enjoy spending time with other members of the group if they wish. Everyone can make meals here and use the kitchen, lounge and gardens.

All accommodation at The Rowan Centre includes fresh linen and towels, own tv, shared bathroom facilities with one other room, breakfast and teas/coffees at any time and a large well equipped kitchen for self-catering. Please bring your main meals and make yourself at home.

For two people sharing we charge £60 per room, per night.

Location, trains, airports and road travel

We are located just outside of Wrentham, Suffolk, on the east coast of England.

Trains
Our nearest station is Beccles, which
is 10 minutes away.
There are also Lowestoft, Halesworth or Darsham stations about twenty
minutes away.  

London Liverpool Street to Beccles
is about two and a half hours, on a straight through train. 
Norwich to Lowestoft is 43 min's.
Lowestoft to Beccles is 15 min's.
Ipswich to Beccles is I hour 11 min's.
Cambridge to Beccles (changing at Norwich and Lowestoft) is 3 hours 15 minutes.  

National Rail enquiries is

Advanced single fares start at £6 and can be purchased well in advance from National Express by calling 0845 600 7245.

   Airports London Heathrow is approximately
   4 hours by train. Norwich is one hour, twenty  
   minutes by train.

   Bus service London Stansted to Ipswich.
   Buses depart every two hours and terminate at
   Ipswich bus station where you can get a train
   to Beccles.  

  Traveling by road We are only a few
   minutes drive from the A12.
   Norwich is 45 minutes.
   Great Yarmouth is 45 minutes.
   Ipswich is 50 minutes.
   Cambridge is two and a quarter hours.
   M25 is 2 hours.
   Stansted airport is two and a quarter hours.
   London Heathrow is three and a quarter hours
